Preparing for Open Studio, Saturday and Sunday

I spent yesterday afternoon putting paintings in frames. Today I will clean up and hang.

Open Studio, December

I am planning an open studio for the weekend of December 5 and 6. Decmber 6 is the date of the Troy Victorian Stroll.

Back in Delmar

It was a good summer in Provincetown and I hated to leave, but it was time. Things went well for me in the Hilda Neily Gallery, and I am especially pleased with the response to work that I have in the Cortile Gallery.

I'm looking forward to getting started on some projects here.

I'll post some photos as soon as I can.

Busy summer

I started a painting of Commercial St. in the middle of town this morning. I haven't kept track of the number of paintings that I have done since the beginning of June, but I have been productive. I'll try to publish photos soon.

Happily in P-town

I arrived late Thursday and took a few days to get settled. I started two paintings this morning and am looking forward to get more going soon.

Due to the recent death of my mother I have not had time to paint.

She was a wonderful woman and a great painter and she will be missed.

Studio open house

I want to thank all of those who made it to my studio open house. A good time was had by all.

Open Studio During Troy Night Out

I will be having an open studio on Friday March 27 from 5-9 during Troy Night Out. My studio is located on the 4th floor of the Ilium Building at 406 Fulton St. in Troy, across the street from Shalimar. The entrance to the building is next to the Fulton St. Gallery.

I will have new work on display created since my last Open Studio in January, and I will also have a selection of "recession priced" work on hand.

All are welcome.

I like to walk from my studio to the river on nice days. The Cluett Peabody building, with the red chimney in the background, is a favorite subject.

This is a dune near Pilgrim Lake, Beach Point and Provincetown are in the backgound. The dead grass and roots in the morning light are astonishingly warm colored. Watch out for poison ivy!

The titles are what I call "working titles." I'm not sure that I will use these titles when I finally frame the paintings and put them in galleries, but they are descriptive enough that it helps me keep track.
